Thanks to the generous support of our donors and sponsors*, Travel grants have been awarded to 77 young Post-docs, PhD / Master-students and Resident / Trainee doctors under 35 years (35 African, 1 Indian and 41 Tunisian candidates) to help them attend the FAIS 2017 congress.
As we are receiving additional support from the Medical Research Council, we are pleased to launch a new call for Travel Grants to help at least 20 African and 5 Tunisian students and/or young investigators (age ≤ 40 years) requesting financial support to attend the FAIS 2017 Congress. Application deadline is September 10th, 2017. Successful applicants will be notified of their award by the end of September 2017
Please note that travel grants will serve to cover cost of accommodation and travel (for African participants). African successful applicants will receive their electronic Air-Ticket in accordance with the reservation they have previously approved and will find, as for Tunisian successful applicants, their standard accommodation costs (4 nights in a double room shared with another participant starting Sunday December 3) covered. All additional costs will be supported the responsibility of the participants. In all case, applicants will be expected to pay for their registration fees and airport transfer.
To be eligible for a travel grant, the applicant must be the presenting author of a submitted abstract. The applicant must also be a member of a FAIS member society and must be based in an African country, or - for EFIS grants - a member of an EFIS-affiliated Society and working in Europe. Applicants from countries with no Immunological society yet or whose admission in FAIS/IUIS is in progress can be accepted.

If you have already submitted 2 abstracts, please indicate by mail to the webmaster, firstname.lastname@example.org, which one you want to be considered for the evaluation. If you have submitted 1 abstract and have a new version or another abstract that you prefer to be considered for the evaluation, you can upload it via the online abstract submission system on the FAIS congress website. If you are not registered yet and have not submitted an abstract, you have to first register online, and then upload your abstract before going to Ask for a Travel Grant…
