The TWAS-CUI Fellowship Programme for Postgraduate Research offers fellowships to young scientists from developing countries (other than Pakistan) who wish to obtain all or part (sandwich or full-time) of their PhD in natural or social sciences. TWAS-CUI Postgraduate Fellowships are tenable in the departments and laboratories of the campuses of the COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI). CUI will provide a monthly stipend which should be used to cover living costs.

The TWAS-CUI Fellowship Programme for Postdoctoral Research offers fellowships to young scientists from developing countries (other than Pakistan) who wish to pursue postdoctoral research in natural or social sciences. Fellowships are tenable in the departments and laboratories of the campuses of the COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) for a minimum period of 6 months to a maximum period of 12 months.

The Fellowship is offered to women scientists from science- and technology-lagging countries to undertake PhD research in the natural, engineering, and information technology sciences at a host institute in another developing country in the Global South. The 2020 TWAS Fellowships call for applications is now open for PhD and Post-Doctoral programmes that are offered in the natural and engineering sciences to students and researchers from developing countries to gain postgraduate education and research experience at top global science institutions in the South. The call is currently open for the following programmes: Postgraduate: CSIR (India), SN Bose Institute (India), CUI (Pakistan) and ICCBS (Pakistan). Postdoctoral: CSIR (India), SN Bose Institute (India), CUI (Pakistan), ICCBS (Pakistan) and NCP (Pakistan). The application eligibility requirements and deadlines vary according to the different fellowships.
