FAIS President Henry Mwandumba and FAIS Secretary-General Clive Gray penned an article published in Innovations in Immunology and on healthawareness.co.uk in May 2019. The article was also written by newly elected International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) President, Faith Osier.
The collaborative article addresses drug resistance in the progress of HIV, Tuberculosis (TB) and malaria vaccines. Henry’s research focuses on TB, Clive’s on HIV and Faith is in the malaria field.
The article covers the recent advances in vaccines to the three largest infectious diseases which lead to approximately 5 million deaths every year. Most of these deaths occur here, in sub-Saharan Africa.
